FWIW, with Debian 12 Stable (Bookworm), until recently I used an HP LaserJet M209dw laser printer (does black an white printing only). Worked, except for the HP configuration and control software. IIRC, did not need any drivers installed. IDK if it is still made.
With Debian 12 Stable (Bookworm), I currently use a Brother HL-L3220CDW laser printer (does both black and white and color printing). Works, except for any Brother configuration and control software. IIRC, did not need any drivers installed. I did install some driver and control stuff from the Brother website, but it did not seem to be needed, and may not have even been recognized by Debian. Of course no guarantees with your setup, and as always, "your mileage may vary". Both are designed for small-office/home-office use. If you need something "industrial strength", you may need to keep looking. Good luck!
