This is routine on all my Debian installations since long before Bullseye, continuing in Trixie. What seems to be the case is that tty1 is specially handled by Debian, and it appears the boot messages stop before boot completes. However, when boot has reached multi-user.target (complete short of running X), switching to any of tty2-6 provides working shell prompts. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science.
