In my experience, laptops having this facility will have the keycap engraved, usually as a small horizontal rectangle with radiating light rays coming out of the top. OTOH. My HP has three "keys" in a horizontal line, with the rays coming out of the top left corner. Macbook Pro keyboard replacements seem to have two keys, F5 and F6; with different brightnesses? You need to find out which of the many modifiers to press at the same time: shift, fn, control, option, command (some modifiers have left and right), or even none. Cheers, David.
