You can go to Dell but when you look into the actual specs you end up paying a lot more to get something that fits your need.

I have just gone through the exercise to speccing a custom build at my localĀ  PC systems seller. They offer pre-canned variants for 'gaming' or 'office' and let you design and cost a complete build.

Your application of NAS is relatively simple and doesn't require too much compute or RAM or power so it will be relatively cheap.

My advice is to get a processor that includes integrated graphics, such as AMD Ryzen 3 5300G, and then get a matching motherboard and RAM and case and modest power supply. For motherboard a B550 chipset will do, perhaps an ASUS model?

I do not recommend SSD drives. Go straight to nvme and select long life ones. Speed is not so important as your limiting factor is LAN speed. Then get one or more Western Digital Red hard drives (accept no substitutes) . These can provide your NAS storage for many years without replacement
