I've never seen such a "sidebar button".
However, on the left margin of Xpdf there's a fine line and near
its lower end there's a small square button. You can drag it to
the right to open the sidebar.
Where is "edit/copy menu"?
Again, I've never seen any "edit/copy menu".
But in an X11 application (like gedit if running on X11) you can
use the middle mouse button to paste.
