I have no idea. I tried $ sudo systemctl disable cups.service $ sudo systemctl stop cups.service and then $ sudo ss -anltup | grep cups showed no instances of cupsd. And firefox couldn't find the printer - my only choice was "Save to PDF" Regards, Lee
