/etc/X11/xorg.conf is an optional file that most users have had no need for for
most of the past two decades. The main exception in actual practice is that
installation of proprietary NVidia drivers historically has created one.
xorg.conf
may be replaced by one or more files in optional directory
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/.

Please provide:

output from: inxi -GSaz (from within an X session)
/var/log/Xorg.0.log (only exists if using Xorg; may instead be found
                in ~/.local/share/xorg/)

Users of dual GPUs (commonly termed "Optimus" when involving coupling of Intel
iGPU with NVidia dGPU) usually need optional software for managing which GPU is
used when and/or for what applications.
