Ni idea, pero: Hace menos de tres días he tenido unos mensajes exactamente como esos en un Acer Aspire 1600 (creo) de un amigo, y no era culpa de las X (o no totalmente), sino del KDE. Utilizando WindowMaker funcionaba perfectamente.
