There are two types of people in the world: those who listen, and those who wait to talk. Folks who listen generally follow the Complaint-Cause-Correction methodology. They are good listeners: they listen to a Complaint and try to understand it, then they try to determine the Cause, and then they offer a Correction. There are lots of listeners on the list, like Andy, Andrew, Greg, Michael and Timothy to name a few. GH is a "wait to talk" kind of person. He likes to Complain, but he does not listen to Cause or Correction. He just wants to talk on the list. He uses list time to talk about problems (like his inability to setup RAID) and irrelevant things (like how lonely he is since losing his partner). He does not seem to have genuine interest in solving his problems. To wit, GH's signature is the following. He is on his soapbox enjoying himself! > "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: > soap, ballot, jury, and ammo. Please use in that order." > -Ed Howdershelt (Author, 1940) Some say "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" is attributed to Einstein. I don't know about Einstein saying it, but I see a lot of it here when folks continue to engage in these conversations. Jeff
