You might want to file the bug report using Debian's BTS,
<https://www.debian.org/Bugs/>.

The short of it is, send an email to <sub...@bugs.debian.org>. The
first three lines of the bug report should be:

   Package: libsane
   Version: 1.2.1-2
   Tags: bookworm
   X-Debbugs-CC: debian-am...@lists.debian.org

Then, provide a description that allows the maintainer to duplicate the issue.
