I have no idea what your other requirements might be, so I cannot advise you on uninstalling FreedomBox. I expect, though, that almost anything FreedomBox might provide is available in native Debian. I have had Nextcloud running here for several years, and its predecessor, Owncloud before that. It has its own update system that works quite well.
