a column dedicated to frames and I see it used fairly frequently for
captchas and online credit card payment elements.

That probably includes iframes (inline frames). I was talking about
the HTML pre-5 <FRAMESET> and related tags.



It was also the <FRAMESET> and <FRAME> tags, to which I had previously referred. Insofar as I am aware, some or most HTML 5 web browsers do not recognise these frames, to the extent that I had to abandon the use of frames. I had found these frames, to have been quite useful, in the web sites that I had developed and maintained.
