I'm having issues with nouveau in other distro, just in case it helps you
to go on meanwhile, a transitory fix has been to add
`module_blacklist=nouveau` at the end of the `linux` line in GRUB (editing).

Some time ago I had some helpful communications via:

, but these days seems like they're only using it for developers'
communications...
