So that was the _only_ line in your /etc/apt/sources.list at that point? You install testing - upgrade as far as you can - then delete everything in /etc/apt/sources.list and replace it with the line above? If you end up with an accidental mixture of trixie and sid, it would be very hard to work out how to disentangle it.
