Try typing "about:plugins" into the address bar and press enter to verify you have a plugin for application/pdf. It should be nppdf.so.
Remove the plugin or symbolic link from /usr/lib/mozilla-firebird/plugins/ or ~/.phoenix/plugins/ -- Jerome
