On the Debian side, options include:

- SFTP and SCP via SSH
- SMB via samba
- NFS v3 and v4
- various DAV implementations
- SyncThing
- and, although the server is not currently packaged, NextCloud
is reasonably easy to get up and running on Debian stable.

All of these have clients of various kinds on Android and other
systems.
