So this allowed me to install keyd[1] and with a simple config like below, I get the tilde without shift and the backtick with shift. Seems like a pretty cool daemon which can do a lot more than that :) [ids] * [main] ` = ~ [shift] ` = ` [1]: https://github.com/rvaiya/keyd/tree/master
