What kernel, systemd and udev versions are installed and running in the Bookworm install? Just how _did_ you "upgrade" the system while retaining the ability to boot the older install? I take it that this would mean that you didn't do the normal in-place upgrade but rather something else, and exactly what that something else is might provide clues. Alternatively, please specify more exactly what you mean by "boot bullseye" and "boot bookworm".
