On a tangent, I've just set up a Debian 11 Linode LEMP server with 1GB RAM and 10GB Disk.

It's not in the least troubled by the limited memory. Also there is no swap in the default image - which seem sensible as it's on a SSD and you don't want to be exercising a SSD with lots of swaps
