Reading Package Lists... Error!
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
E: Error occured while processing acl-alisp8 (NewVersion1)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/http.us.debian.org_debian_dists_testing_contrib_binary-i386_Packages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
In checking /var/log/messages I also see the following. I don't know if they are related.
kernel: mtrr: base(0xf0000000) is not aligned on a size(0x280000) boundary
and
kernel: Memory: 1013288k/1031360k available (1185k kernel code, 17684k reserved, 448k data, 112k init, 113856k highmem)
'free' gives the following output.
total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 1016908 357996 658912 0 95704 143232 -/+ buffers/cache: 119060 897848 Swap: 996020 0 996020
My /etc/apt/sources.list contains the 7 cd's for Woody 3.0r1 plus these lines:
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian testing main contrib
deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main contrib non-free deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib non-free
The machine was replicated from a twin machine using jablicator. The other machine is not having this problem.
Any help resolving this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks, Karen
