If it's not /etc/fstab then it could be a dedicated systemd unit, or a command in /etc/rc.local, or a crontab @reboot entry, or an /etc/init.d/ script, .... unicorn:~$ df /tmp Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/sda7 23854928 19625616 2992220 87% / unicorn:~$ mount | grep /tmp unicorn:~$ I think this was installed as Debian 9, rather than buster, but I can't imagine such a dramatic change in the buster installer by default. I think it must be something local to your computer.
