I have ARTS, ESD, and Alsa installed. The only program that has sound
(so far) is XMMS which uses the OSS Sound Driver. Other apps such as
GAIM and GnomeMeeting have no sound at all.
GAIM is set to use Arts (although it is equally soundless using ESD) and
Gnomemeeting is set to use /dev/dsp0 (although it is equally soundless
with /dev/dsp1).
I just recently upgraded to the latest alsa-base from testing/unstable.
Any idea's what is going on?
BTW, I'm using WindowMaker as my gui.
