So if you do remove those, you might be able to look at the others in your "why" list and see what's keeping them in, thought bear in mind that each "why" response is composed of a single chain, the composition of which might change because of the packages just removed. (That is why there will be 12 candidates for autoremoval: removal of those 52 packages will destroy 12 chains.) I can't speak to the 27 upgrade candidates, but I assume they're there because you're deferring any ungrade until you've cleared out the synaptic detritus.) Cheers, David.
