We ran thousand-person mailing lists on a microVAX 3500 with a
then-astonishing 32MB of RAM and an 11 MHz CPU.

A Raspberry Pi 4b has much more compute power, faster storage,
and 50-100x faster networking, to go with 200x the RAM.

For learning about running servers and doing non-commercial
work, Pis and old desktops and laptops are excellent machines.
