Xfce was certainly listed among the desktop environments, and it installed without problems on a very old laptop. But all the netinstalls pull most of their software from the Net, as the name implies. 'Support' for a desktop in a netinstall is no more than an entry in a text list. Even without that, a console-only installation can be made and Xfce and supporting graphics can be installed normally, though not as conveniently. I will soon be installing unstable starting from a console-only bullseye, upgrading at that point and only then loading what I want, including GUI and Xfce. -- Joe
