After you get your hand of things, you may want to get a 2.6 kernel or
build you own 2.4 with the cpufreq patch and install some power
management daemons to get the full advantage of the battery saving
abilities of the M cpu (reduce clock frequency and voltage of the cpu).
I don't think there is an easy way yet though so you better get used to
linux first before you go that way.
