AOL seems to do approximately zero QA on their software before shipping it. AOL frequently breaks Windows more severely than Windows can on it's own. To put it another way: AOL's software is fairly universally considered crap among Windows users. I'm not sure if that says more about AOL, Windows users or Windows itself.
