What I interpreted Gene's statement above as meaning is something closer to "Although I found an entry in sources.list (as recognized by synaptic's repo list) which specified oldstable, I don't remember adding one; it would have to have been added since Saturday [for reasons not specified], and I certainly don't remember doing it in that time-frame.".
