some will restart automatically when their config file changes and others don't. you have to know which do and which don't since this isn't a universal feature yet. preferably i do not want things to reload unless i specifically tell them to just in case i'm relying upon that process for something critical until i've got everything synced up and then i restart or reboot and all should be ok. songbird
