This project exists:
https://mobian-project.org/ to put Debian on phones and tablets. Currently they support the PinePhone, PineTab and Purism's Librem 5. Other devices are in various degress of progress. I would describe the whole thing, tentatively, as not being suitable for anyone's primary device, at this time. -dsr-
