I think you need to make sure the jumper on the card is correct, and
that the BIOS knows that IRQ is for the ISA bus (so it doesn't try
assigning it to the PCI bus).  IIRC this is what I did to get both my
parallel ports to use interrupts instead of polling (one is on-board
the other on an ISA expansion card).
