Here in the SÃo Paulo, Brazil, Telecenters, we have a configuration of
a host and from 10 to 20 X terminals. The terminals were based on the
LTSP minidistro, but we substituted Debian.

In the hosts linked to some hosts, when launching GNU Emacs I get:

Undefined color: "black"

And Emacs never appears... I can use it only with -nw in a terminal
emulator.

This lead me to launching xcolorsel, and while it does appears, it
leaves this in the launching terminal emulator:

Warning: Color name "Black" is not defined
Warning: Color name "White" is not defined
Warning: Color name "OliveDrab2" is not defined
Warning: Color name "Gold2" is not defined
Warning: Color name "Gold1" is not defined
Warning: Color name "OrangeRed2" is not defined

I've checked rgb.txt to no avail.

I've upped color depth to 24 bits, installed the latest 4.3 XFree, and
nothing.

Meanwhile launching GNU Emacs on the XFree in the host console, as
opposed to the terminals, works OK.

        Any ideas?
