Hi Charlie,

I agree with you about xv, it's a wonderful piece of software.

The wikipedia has an article on it:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xv_(software)

And that article asserts that the 3.10a version (1994-12-29) is the latest,
although there are apparently later patches.

I do think that the license is an important factor here.

If you have luck in your pursuit of a later, better xv, please do post, and
