As a two finger typist I wish continuous speech recognition for note taking and composing emails. Unfortunately, the only end user speech recognition in Debian is Pocketsphinx which is command and control oriented.

When I asked on debian-accessibility, I was pointed to Mozilla Deepspeech. Reviewing material on the web it seems to be a good match for my use case. However, I found an article suggesting Mozilla was winding down its development. [ https://venturebeat.com/2021/04/12/mozilla-winds-down-deepspeech-development-announces-grant-program/ ]

Except for work tightly bonded to Raspberry Pi hardware, I don't find any Debian references less that two/three years old. Is there any current activity relevant to amd64 Debian?

TIA
