Can anyone here direct me to a tutorial for setting up Squid to serve as
a router? I found one user guide here...
http://squid-docs.sourceforge.net/latest/html/c458.html
But after wading through it, it seems to be written for people who
already know how to set up a proxy.
All I want to do so far is get my system set up so that other systems on
the LAN can access the Internet through it. I just want to set her up
as a gateway for now, and then work on firewall issues later, once I can
get other systems to browse the web, do IRC, and ftp.
Is Squid a decent program for this, or is there anything else that may
be easier to configure?
