I did sudo rm -f /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/* sudo apt remove xserver-xorg-video-radeon and rebooted. I got inxi -Fxz (...) Graphics: Device-1: AMD Caicos PRO [Radeon HD 7450] vendor: ASUSTeK driver: radeon v: kernel bus ID: 09:00.0 Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.4 driver: modesetting unloaded: fbdev,vesa resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz OpenGL: renderer: N/A v: N/A direct render: N/ASo X11 is running the modesetting driver but not opengl, while the ASUSTeK driver still seems to be radeon.
