Since I am not currently using a debian system with GUI, I may not be able to guide you in detail. But in most cases, you just need to find the ibus settings/system languages setting (with GUI), add an input method, and finally logout and re-login. Then you can use shortcut keys or click the input method icon in status bar to switch input methods. I find some tutorials in Debian Wiki that might can help you: https://wiki.debian.org/InputMethodBuster https://wiki.debian.org/I18n/ibus And this Arch Wiki may also be used for reference: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/IBus In addition, I noticed that ibus-pinyin is deprecated, you may need change to ibus-libpinyin. -- OpenPGP fingerprint: 3C47 5977 4819 267E DD64 C7E4 6332 5675 A739 C74E
