Many more keystrokes and mental gymnastics can be saved when working with filesystems by ensuring all have unique volume labels, then using those labels, which you choose and can be seriously short if that's your wish, and using those labels instead of UUIDs, such as in fstab, and grub cmdline or shell edits or customization. -- Evolution as taught in public schools, like religion, is based on faith, not on science.
