AFAIK, 2.6 is still being tested. It's not a "production" release, whatever that means. So if you're running 2.6, you're acting as a tester. Some people have had great results; others not so great. If you want to help the kernel folks get 2.6 out the door, running 2.6 and reporting problems is a great way to do that.
