Dear Colleagues, On a system with many small files, I often observe arc_meta_used over arc_meta_limit:
# grep arc_m /proc/spl/kstat/zfs/arcstats arc_meta_used 4 5580987440 arc_meta_limit 4 5532735283 arc_meta_max 4 6179223472 arc_meta_min 4 16777216 # I think the situation is abnormal and degrades performance. Running "echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches" clears the situation ... for a while. I've tried increasing zfs_arc_dnode_limit_percent and arc_meta_limit_percent to no avail. What else can I tune?
