Hi Darwin,

Thanks for the details. Can we charge for the proprietary software
bundled with debian OS which we install in that laptop ?

Regards,

Kamal

Hi Debian Team,

I'm Kamalakannan from Zoho Corporation Pvt Ltd. We build cloud apps
and we have a plan to bundle our application in a laptop with debian OS and
sell it to custmers with our product bundle over debian OS.

We want to know whether it is allowed as per debian's policy or not. Is there
any license we need to purchase to sell our product with debian OS installed
laptops ?

Kamal

Hello,

Yes indeed. You can redistribute Debian software.  I dont think you can charge
for the os itself, but you can charge for the laptops for sure. It is free
software after all.

Regards,

Darwin

PS: Follow the license, it depends on your country of origin
