Indeed, Windows 10 can update BIOS on it's volition. [1]
It's possible that if you reset BIOS to default settings it will solve
your issue. It is a good idea in general to reset BIOS settings after
update, restart PC and reconfigure BIOS settings.
Also, as an option you can rollback BIOS version to 302. [2]
Or ask ASUS support for an advice or possible fix. If a regression was
introduced in version 306, they probably will release a new BIOS version
with necessary fixes.
