Use Minicom, or Xminicom to provide a bit of comfort to text-mode phobics. How close you can get to "proper RS232 serial port operation" will probably be limited by the USB <-> serial chip in that cable. -- John Hasler jhas...@newsguy.com Elmwood, WI USA
