I wanted to compile a kernel, but when doing "make menuconfig", I got:
There seems to be a problem with the lxdialog companion utility which is built prior to running Menuconfig. Usually this is an indicator that you have upgraded/downgraded your ncurses libraries and did not remove the old ncurses header file(s) in /usr/include or /usr/include/ncurses. It is VERY important that you have only one set of ncurses header files and that those files are properly version matched to the ncurses libraries installed on your machine. [...] What is this problem? I have: greux:~> lg /usr/include/ncurses* lrwxrwxrwx 1 8 2003-11-20 15:41:09 /usr/include/ncurses.h -> curses.h -rw-r--r-- 1 1559 2003-11-07 20:26:36 /usr/include/ncurses_dll.h from libncurses5-dev (unstable).
