Hello list,

some days ago I stumbled over zulucrypt-gui, -cli and so on. It is a nice tool
for working with veracrypt encrypted folders and similar.

However, zulucrypt always need sudo or root password, which I think is not the
best way. As far as I read, the version 5.4 should need only the root
password, when accessing to the system drives.

When using an usb-drive (usb-stick), then neither sudo nor root pasword shall
be needed. (They told it for Ubuntu)

In debian, although version 5.4, this is not the case. You always need sudo
(or root password).

So, I believe, the debian people did change things and might have their
reasons, but I suggest, for non system drives, a normal user should not need
sudo.

Did I miss something or is this behaviour not wanted? I found nothing in the
docs related to this.

If not, so I officially suggest to chenge the next version so, that zulucrypt
is
working for standard users without sudo or root password, but only for
external drives. Hope this is possible, to do.

Thank you for reading this.

Best regards

Hans
