Dear list, Buster changed some things, and one of those is the version of ffmpeg and its features. Note that I'm talking about ffmpeg binary here, not libraries.
In stretch, ffmpeg provided "nvenc" hardware acceleration (NVIDIA proprietary cards only), that really shortened encoding times. In buster, "nvenc" is gone. Ok, it was non-free, so it had it coming. I accept it. The question is - what's the NVIDIA-specific replacement of nvenc in buster? Free software preferred. Rebuilding ffmpeg with CUDA SDK is something I'd like to avoid. Reco
