I am trying to get my CD burner working. So far I have added append="/dev/hdd=ide-scsi"
to lilo.conf and loaded ide-scsi module. lsmod gives me:- Module Size Used by Not tainted apm 9116 1 (autoclean) ipt_LOG 3136 4 (autoclean) iptable_mangle 2112 0 (autoclean) (unused) iptable_filter 1728 1 (autoclean) iptable_nat 12628 0 (unused) ip_conntrack 12652 1 [iptable_nat] ip_tables 10432 6 [ipt_LOG iptable_mangle iptable_filter iptable_nat] ide-scsi 7456 0 i810_audio 21248 2 ac97_codec 9568 0 [i810_audio] ac97 2864 0 (unused) soundcore 3204 2 [i810_audio] usb-storage 97120 0 (unused) sg 24420 0 (unused) keybdev 1664 0 (unused) usbkbd 2848 0 (unused) input 3040 0 [keybdev usbkbd] usb-uhci 20676 0 (unused) usbcore 48000 0 [usb-storage usbkbd usb-uhci] But 'cdrecord -scanbus' gives me:- cdrecord.mmap: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver. cdrecord.mmap: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are root. cdrecord.mmap: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'. cdrecord.mmap: Also make sure that you have loaded the sg driver and the driver for cdrecord.mmap: SCSI hardware, eg. ide-scsi if you run IDE/ATAPI drives over cdrecord.mmap: ide-scsi emulation. Read /usr/share/doc/cdrecord/README.ATAPI.setup! Not quite sure what /dev/pg is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
