I have solved my Ethernet startup problem by placing the line "fealnx" in the "/etc/modules" file. But I would like to know what Script ( as /etc/init.d/rc3.d/S05network -> /etc/init.d/network under SuSE 8.2 ) uses this file to activate my Ethernet card at system startup. I would like to place something like "echo 'its me'" in that file, and to find it somewhere in any /var/log file, as I use to do in SuSE to understand its structure ...
