It would help if you told us more about your requirements and use-cases -- e.g. flat-file, relational database, data modeling language, data manipulation language, scripting language, desktop, LAN, Internet, single-user, multi-user, IDE, native client, browser client (WWW server), SOAP, F/OSS, free as in beer, commercial, app licensing fees, support, etc.
