Yes, I prefer to download any videos I actually want to play. I would also prefer not to have them play silently either. The recent thread "WTF does Firefox 58?" touched on this but wasn't very specific, with a reference to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections (lots of different features in here), but the referrer said they hadn't tried these methods anyway. Any ideas? (I'm assuming what plays is not flash, as I *think* I have no flash available to this particular system's browser.) Cheers, David.
